About Aiken

Aiken has been through many incarnations over the years. I started out as Convert back in 2009, but to protect my Brand I had to find another name.  So in 2015, Convert became Aiken - my son's middle name and old English for “made from oak”, both great reasons, in my book.

After opening and running four stores in the Bay Area and surviving through Covid, I decided I needed a break from retail.  In 2023, I closed all of my stores and pursued another path. Cut to three years later, missing my store and my customers, Aiken is back open on Fourth Street. 

Welcome to Aiken 2.0.  

My approach to buying is like my approach to my customers -  focused on understanding the individual, not following trends. All this adds up to lots of different unique looks to outfit my very individual customers for all the special moments and occasions in their lives. 

Being on Fourth Street for so many years has allowed me to grow along with my fabulous clientele, watching kids grow, hearing about amazing trips and various wonderful milestones.  Our new store feels like coming home and I can't wait to share our new brands, new digs and whiskey with you.
